Another semen analysis thread

#1

I got my first semen analysis results back yesterday, but my urologist that ordered it is out of town until next week, so I came here for answers. I was wondering if anyone has any insight on these numbers and what you think the chances of natural conception might be (DW has tested healthy and is in her early 20’s).

Volume: 5ml
Concentration: 15.2M/ml
Motility: 23%
Progressive motility (0-4): 2.5
Morphology: 5% (Kruger strict)
Round cells: 0-2M/ml
pH: 7.8
Motile sperm/specimen: 17.5 M

Thanks in advance!

Your results look a lot like mine earlier this year. A bit on the low side.

My advice: get a full blood analysis and make sure there are no hormone irregularities.

I had a count of 15mil, took a blood test and found out my FSH hormone was low. I was prescribed Clomid and my count went from 15mil to 60mil in 2 months. But my motility was very bad, progressively motile was 2%.

Do you drink alcohol? If so, stop. I wasn’t an alcoholic, but I enjoyed the night of excessive drinking every now and then.

Take a lot of vitamins. I took L-Arginine, L-Carnitine, Prostate Health Blend, Multivitamin, and Tribulus. And try your best to get 30 mins exercise a day.

Something worked for me, because 2 months after these lifestyle changes we are pregnant.

Best of luck to you.
