Endometriosis and Lupron

#1

I came across this website when I was researching Lupron. I am currently 19 years old and have been diagnosed with endometriosis. I had a laparoscopy and discovered I am in stage three. My doctor thinks it would be best to go through the Lupron treatment for six months. I have done my research but I still find myself a little scared with what I would experience. I am going into my sophomore year of college and I guess I am just trying to weigh my options. Could anyone tell me their experiences with the shot? Is it worth it?

I did the lupron shots for six months but not for endometriosis. There are side effects but they really weren’t that bad at all. The only one I really noticed was constant hot flashes but they were managable. Best of luck to you, hope it all works out well for you

I love being on Lupron. I’ve had four of my six shots and not having a period is awesome.

I feel its too early to go for the procedure. But I don’t think if there is anything bad with taking care of your health early enough. You should also consider somethings before going for the procedure. Do Not Take LUPRON DEPOT if: You should not receive LUPRON DEPOT if you are or may become pregnant, are breast-feeding, have undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, or if you have experienced any type of allergic reaction to LUPRON DEPOT or similar drugs. You should not receive Add-back* plus LUPRON DEPOT if you currently have or have had any clotting disorder, heart disease, stroke, impaired liver function or liver disease, or breast cancer. Before Starting Treatment You should know that LUPRON DEPOT is not a method of birth control and unprotected intercourse could result in pregnancy. To prevent pregnancy, you should use a non-hormonal. The most common side effects of LUPRON DEPOT include hot flashes, vaginal dryness, headaches, changes in mood, decreased interest in sex, depression, and/or the occurrence of forgetfulness. I hope you, make the best decision of whether you will go for it or not.
