Introduce yourself here

I am new. I was diagnosed with high testosterone levels but apparently I don’t have any of the other signs of PCOS. I have horrible cystic acne when I am not on birth control…so due to this I spent the first several years of our marriage going back and forth from ttc to getting back on bc to clear up acne (before I realized they were connected). I have now been married 7 1/2 years and am past the point of wanting a baby badly. Now I just feel sort of angry and robbed…because I feel like I should be the mom of a small child by now. Infertility is the most isolating painful thing I have ever gone through. To make matters worse, I live in a small town where everyone my age has multiple children. Anyway, after a total of 4 failed months with fertility drugs and injectibles, we are doing our first IUI this month. I am trying to stay positive…but when I read on here of people doing multiple IUIs, it kind of discourages me, to be honest.

Finally Ready

My husband and I have been TTC for a little over 2 years. I took the past year to try everything I could to change my situation (diet, acupuncture, massage, herbs, stress reduction, supplements, DHEA) and finally I have accepted that I cannot beat myself up for being in this situation. I finally know that there is nothing I could have done differently to make us have better luck at having children.

Now, we are at a clinic I feel good about and moving forward with them. We plan on doing a femara IUI next cycle. I tested positive for MTHFR C677T/C677T, so I am taking baby aspirin and extra B vitamins (methyfolate (folic acid), B6, and B12). Praying for some blessings coming our way!

Hi, there, courageous people.

Hi, I’m new here and wanted to introduce myself. I’m on month 6 of unmedicated IUI. My RE kept trying to push clomid on me, but since my cycles are fully ovulatory and twins aren’t an option, I have pushed right back at her.

She’s willing to go for 12 months of unmedicated IUI to see if our patience pays off. So we’re at the halfway point, and still not pregnant. Trying hard to stay sane…I know what a tough road this is turning out to be for me, and I’m glad to know I’m not alone.

I hope every one of your stories has a happy ending!

Hi everyone! I am new here. This looks like a wonderful place to be! So many supportive members! My dh and I have been TTC for 2 years now. We are both 33. Dh has low count & mobility and I am fine. We had our first IUI on 9/13 and am trying to be patient in the 2ww but it is so hard! I am sending good vibes to everyone on here and hope that we all get a BFP soon!

Hello, and thanks

Hi everyone, my husband and I have been TTC only since April 2012, but due to my age (39 – as of July) we were transferred to an RE fairly quickly after I went to the doctor to get my irregular cycles checked out. We have now completed one IUI with Clomid and trigger – and I got my BFN today. In the next week or so, we’ll start another IUI cycle, this time with Clomid AND Bravelle. I’m nervous about the increased risk of multiples with Bravelle, and nervous about the injections (HATE needles), but feeling hopeful still. I know we might be very early in our journey.

Last month I lurked around the forums on this site a LOT, since I was googling every little thing that the RE said. I got so much reassurance from reading everyone’s stories. I don’t know anyone else who has gone through IF treatment, and I did not realize how isolating it could feel to go through it without other ladies to share experiences with. Hoping for the best for all of us! :babydust::babydust:

Hi

I have been trying to conceive on my own for a while and finally decided to seek the help of an RE. Needing support from people that understand.

i cant imagine…

Im Jessica, 23. My DH is 26. I know we are young, but still broken…
TTC 1 year 3 months…

I was lucky enough to catch the endo when i did. Stage II. From there i was sent to see a specialist who diagnosed me with a severe case of PCOS. Ive been on Metformin for 8 months and counting. My DH has mobility issues.

First round of IUI was attempted on Mothers Day with no assistance… :bfn:

Took small break, and started first round of Chlomid.

Second round of IUI with ovidrel… :bfn:

Round 2 of Chlomid and ovidrel…

Awaiting results on 3rd round of IUI :cross: :cross: :cross:

I have a hard time dealing with this, because I blame myself for not being able to give my hubby a family. For now our furry kids will have to suffice :nerd:

:paw: Bailey our baby, springer/boarder collie mix

My husband and I are trying to expand our family a little more. We have a two and a half year old son thanks to 3 rounds of clomid and almost 2 years TTC. This time around we are into month seven. I underwent my first IUI on 9/21/2012 after a few months on Follistim. I joined to get more advice and support!!

New!

Hi everyone. This is month two for infertility treatments for me. I had stage 2 endo, which I had successful surgery for removal in July. Last month we started 50mg of Clomid, but I didn’t respond we’ll so this month my RE bumped it up to 100mg. I went in yesterday and they found 4 mature follicles, 2 at 18mm and 2 at 17.5mm. They called and told me my E2 was over 1700! Which they said is great. I took my HCG trigger last night and go in the morning for my first IUI!! I’m nervous lol. Has anyone gotten pregnant on the first iui? The endo is my only issue. Tubes and everything else is good, DH’s guys are good to go too. I’m super excited though!!

Hi!
Well, I just found this forum and it is good to know that I am not alone.
We have been TTC for two years now, we started trying for a year naturally before fertility treatments.
everything seems to be fine, no problems were found on me or him.
We successfully got pregnant on our 2nd IUI but 14weeks later we miscarried.
now we are on the 2ww period (6th IUI’s treatment on Monday) and hoping this one will work.

Thinking on starting the injectables next cycle…

Not sure how those work… any advise…

:bsv:

Thank you so much!

New to this…

Hi, I am new to this forum although I have been reading it for a while and have enjoy all the info and support . My hubby was diagnosed in July 2011 with Hodgkins and is still undergoing chemo with his second bone marrow transplant hopefully before the end of the year. Cancer found us a little short of our self imposed “five year plan” for children. We have always wanted children but thought we had some time to achieve other goals in life. Very thankful for our oncologist who made sure we did some sperm banking before starting treatment!
A little over a year later we have come to the place that despite what else is going on in our lives we are ready to work towards becoming parents. So after seeing our RE in Aug and getting some basic testing done we are going to start IUI this Oct!
Thankful to have found a place to talk to other going through the same things! Lots of :bsv: for everyone!

Newbie

Hello. I just joined the fertility community today. I’m 41 years old and trying to conceive a second child. I have an amazing 31/2 year old boy. We had no issues conceiving our son. We tried for a year on our own and it will be a year next month that we’ve been working with our RE. I have tried several rounds of chlomid IUIs and just completed my 3rd cycle of injectables with IUI. No success yet but I’m hopeful. Our insurance is allowing us to try IVF next cycle. I’m hoping IVF is the answer for us as IUI just isn’t working.

#2619

I am new here, we just had our first IUI done today! :cross:
I married my second husband almost 3 years ago, he did not have any children, I myself had 3 from a previous marriage, but had my tubes tied. We decided to do a tubal reversal and found out after the reversal that I have secondary infertility, PCOS and anovulation. We have been trying for a little over 2 years, gone through many many disappointing cycles until we got to our IUI, and finally grew some follies :cheer: and that is where we are today.

#2620

:welcome: and good luck on your 2ww!
