I have been told my lining is between 5-6mm. We are going forward with my retrieval this week and the doctor will decide then whether it is worth going forward with the transfer. Does anyone out there have any success stories with such a thin lining? Any advice on whether this is too thin to even go forward? Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks!
I’m sorry I have no advice, but I want to wish you the best of luck. I just had to comment because your signature made me chuckle
I know I keep singing its praises, but I heard acupuncture helps with lining and implantation. You could try it. Good luck!:cheer:
I did acupuncture with both my bfp. I say give it a try.
Thanks everyone. I actually have been doing acupuncture this round. He also put me on baby asprin and Viagra - of all things. Apparently none of those have really helped. I just hope that in the next couple days it can magically improve…
takonttc - the only thing that worked for me was acupuncture with e-stims. i tried baby asprin, estrace priming, fish oil pills and regular acupuncture. the e-stimulation done to increase lining by acupuncture was the miracle worker to the shock of my REs! give it a try and good luck to you! :grouphug:

Thanks - I’m not really familiar with e-stims. Is that different than just regular acupuncture? Did you go at all after your retrieval. I am having my retrieval at 9am tomorrow, and am not sure if I should keep going…
the e-stims are useful during the follicular phase (before retrieval). they hook up a small current to the needle of acupuncture so that it has a stronger affect. back in the day, acupuncturists used to manually shake the needles for the same affect. i think it is often called electro-acupuncture. you should discuss this with your acupuncturist. i went from barly getting 5mm in thickness to over 7mm. this time for my FET, it was actually 9.3mm, amazing for me!!
I have heard that warming your feet increases the blood flow to your uterus and increases the lining. I have been wearing heavy socks and keeping my feet warm and my lining last week was at 13.9. Last IVF cycle I used a heating pad for 15 minutes in the evening and my lining was a 12. Good luck
Good to know. I’ll definitely ask about e-stims, and will go warm my feet right now.
First off good luck with this cycle. I feel your pain, and have problems with a thin lining as well. I have a really aggressive RE and for this cycle we did lots of new things. I’ll break it down into categories to make it easier.
1 Trental 4 months before retrieval-this is a drug used for chronic limb pain. They no longer make it or the generic, but you can still find it. It works by changing the shape of the red blood cell to increase perfusion. There is one really good study on this drug for thin linings
2 Baby Aspirin
3 Folbee-helps to treat MTFR mutation which has to do with clotting
4 Lovenox-I just used it for the first trimester
Things to help perfusion:
1 viagra-we used it 3 or 4 times a day for 2 weeks this time. Research uses is for only 4 days
2 Accupuncture-including traditional, electroaccupuncture as well as auricular seed therapy
Treatments to aid in the attachment phase of implantation:
1 Pipelle treatments. This is a treatment done in the office twice before my cycle. They go in and stimulate the uterus and it’s supposed to change the protein levels to increase attachment
1 Delestrogen shots
3 vivlelle patches 4 every other day
I did estrogen for a couple of months before transfer
No BCP or lupron to let my body make as much estrogen as possible
2 prometrium or endometrium
I hope this helps. It did for me. After 6 pregnancies, this one looks like it will stick.
After reading thru these forums, I decided to start e-acupuncture based on the results some have had with increasing their lining. I have been doing regular acu for 3 cycles and today I started e-acu which really was very relaxing to me! For those who tried e-acu, how long did it take you to see the results in your lining getting better? Thanks and baby dust to all!
