Just getting frustrated

Hello All,

I am new to the forums, and I am here for some support. I’m getting frustrated. As you can tell in my signature, I have MTHFR and have several clotting disorders. My Hematologist says their nothing to worry about and doesn’t reccomend Lovonox until I experience another loss after 12 weeks.

So… I’m frustrated and don’t know what to do… I have experienced 5 miscarraiges, 4 from prior relationships. I have experienced 1 chemical, and I have had 1 stillborn who was at 23 weeks gestation weighing 20 weeks.

I never properly dealt with the grief of my stillborn, and am working through it now, but am fed up…
I don’t know what else to do or who else to turn to, obviously my clotting issues alone are complicated and can affect pregnancies, but I should WAIT to experience ANOTHER loss?

Grrr. I want to rip my hair out. Today makes 9 months, and :af: is on with a vengeance, or playing games with me, she wants to come, I have been cramping on and off since CD24, and when I check my CM, it is blood tinged, but no flow… it just is really aggravating…

How can I be able to get pregnant… and carry to term with no loss, and not having the support of doctors? :(:grr: :grr: :grr:

I guess my question would be is there something about the lovonox that would warrant not taking it unless you absolutely need to (i.e. it can cause fetal demise or miscarriage)? Secondly, what is it about another miscarriage that then makes you qualify?

I can totally see your frustration as it seems sometimes the medical community does too little too late. :grr:

Are you able to see another Doc? Maybe you need a second opinion or just a Doc that is more open to what you want?

I cannot even imagine going through what you have already gone through and then being told it isn’t enough to warrant some type of help to prevent it again. :grouphug:

 you find the right Doc and the perfect solution and get your sticky lil one. :babydust: :babydust:

Hi TTCMommy,

I am really sorry to hear about what you are going through. I don’t really have much information to help you but can I suggest that you post your query on the Pregnancy Loss forum. There are lots of ladies on there who are quite knowledgeable on the subject and could help you out.
Here is the link:
There is also a recurrent pregnancy loss sub-forum under this one.
Hope you find the answers you need:grouphug:

Hi TTC mommy

I agree with Ahhny. Get a new doctor or second opinion if possible. I have one positive clotting disorder test (not even sure it’s a real thing) and my RE wants me to start lovenox if I get pregnant. It’s hard coordinating the doctors. Seems like they should coordinate themselves. Is the hematologist and the RE/OB communicating?

I had one child then two losses back to back then nothing for a year and when I decided to seek some answers from a specialist, that was empowering to me. I only mention it because maybe finding some answers from a different doctor might help with the frustration.
