Me and my girlfriend are trying to get pregnant but so far no luck

#1

So im 23 and my girlfriend is 28. We have been trying to concieve for a month now. We had sex 16 times last month during her fertile period and shes supposed to have her period tomorrow and she took a digital pregnancy test and it was negative.she took a cheaper one this morning also negative. She has regular periods but she got off birth control 3 months ago so we could start to conceive. I would think something is wrong with me but theres no reason why i would be infertile. When i was 18, me and my ex had alot of unprotected sex but she never got pregnant.I had my thyroid checked and it was normal. Could it be me or her?

Hello. First of all I want to say welcome to this forum. Hope you will find everything what you need as well as a great support here. As for your question, the majority of couples don’t conceive until they’ve been trying for around 6+ months. Keep on TTC if you feel you’re ready for this ride, but I’ll tell you right now that if not conceiving within the first 3 months is causing you this much stress, you may want to focus your efforts on keeping calm first before you carry on. Nine months of pregnancy, and then the rest of your life as a mother is going to present you with many more challenges than not getting knocked up within the first 3 months of trying. I wish you lots of good luck, but please chill out for your own sake, and for your future child’s sake. But if you want you can go and visit re.

You are not going to be sure till you get tested. Have you though of going to a clinic? This ill even help you mentally. You do not have to stress yourself whether you are the problem or not. Also knowing your fertility health is something good. Go and try to see where the problem is. that way you will know how to solve it. It might be something small that can be treated in a day. Rather than waiting all that long. You should also go with your gf. It is good to know the health of both of you. Since it is the two of you that want a child. It might even be that you have no problem. Maybe your girlfriend body is trying to adopt. Being on pills changes the work of hormones. It might even take someone 6 months off the pill to be pregnant. It just depend with how fast the body can adjust.

Infertility is not all about thyroid problem. You never know there might be something wrong. It is also not a must that family member must be going through that. I know many infertile men who have other fertile family members. So the only option is going to a clinic. It might be an issue with your sperms. Maybe the quality, production or quantity. It means a lot. Or maybe the problem is not you. It might be your girlfriend. You see right now we cannot settle at any option. The best way to know this is seeing a doctor. Let him tell you what you are going through. After you know what the problem is. You start finding the solution. There is nothing impossible. With technological advancement. We have many solutions these days. I believe you will get sorted out. Bio tex clinic has a wide variety of services. They do cover male infertility too. And they are very affordable. Incase you want to start your medical journey. You should not look any further.

Here are some reasons why hormonal balance may occur, causing ovulation disorder:
Poor egg health
Problems with one or more of the endocrine glands
Poor nutrition
Stress
Xenohormones
Poor lifestyle choices
Low Body Weight
Obesity
Long-term use of fertility medications containing hormones, for example birth control.
Genetic predisposition
And so so many of reasons for fertility issues to add!!! You’d better have a good consult with a fertility expert.

Update: still no luck. I took this male fertility test that uses your smartphone camera to look at sperm under a microscope and see if they’re motile. I thought I had a problem with my sperm but I took the test twice and both instances it told me my motility was normal and looking at the sperm under the microscope. They seem to be active and normal shaped. As for her, the obgyn said she does not have PCOS and she has regular 28 day cycles. Perhaps we’ve just been unlucky? I was thinking of just not having any sexual activity for a few days leading up to her fertile days.

Hey buddy. Hope you are doing good. Well, you can’t simply tell what is the main problem. I think you should go for a check up. Both of you must consult your doctor. He will take your further tests in order to know the reason. You must stay positive. My partner and I had sex for quite a long time. I thought I would be pregnant. But, to my surprise I was not. We again tried in my fertile period. All in vain this time too. Later, I was diagnosed with PCOS. We ended up towards surrogacy. So, I suggest you better see your doctor. All the best to you two.

OMG! From PCOS to surrogacy!! Hard to know this happens to people…
Every condition should be time wise anyway. More investigation is never made in vain. Probably a good consultation with a fertility expert will help. It’s always better to know what to struggle. Keep updated.

Hey. Don’t worry about it. Children are a great blessing. But this is not in your fate. Don’t take stress everything will be fine. If you cannot conceive a child you have many other options like surrogacy. Don’t think this is an unnatural way. This is the only way you can have your own babies. I wish you best of luck.

You both are so young and have so many time ahead that I wouldn’t worry at all. You know that there is like 33% chance to get pregnant during unprotected intercourse when a woman has ovulation? And infertility can be diagnosed only if you are trying for more than a year with no result. So give it a time and then, if it doesn’t work, then you need to see a doctor and get professional advice. Women conceive despite different issues and in 40s, so I believe your girlfriend has high chance to carry a baby for you.

Hey dear, don’t be stressed so much. Children are the blessing of God. But you are not that lucky. There are still some options left for you to conceive a child. Surrogacy is one of them. There is not any risk and success rate is high too. Wishing you a blast of luck!

Ladies are right. You cannot know for sure untill being both tested properly. Still they will want you to wait for 12 mons ttc unless applying for a fertility expert. Though here are some of the things to try while waiting. A supplement with MYO Inositol. Extra vitamin B6 & Zinc. A sperm-friendly lubricant. Acupuncture. Drinking more water. Tracking BBT & using OPKs. Getting to the right BMI. Hope things will get right for you soon.
