My tubes are completely closed off

#1

I was told about 3 years ago I would never have children. My tubes are completely closed off. I have had two surgeries since then to open them and both have failed. My tubes stay open long enough for them to pull out the tools and then they close back up. I cry almost everyday because of this. Every time I see a child I break down. What do you do when it gets to this point?

So sorry to hear about your tubes. All of us here know what you’re going through, so dont feel alone. Secondly, there are several options for women with closed off tubes. Have you seen a fertility specialist yet? If not, you should see one so that you know your options. I too, break down every time I see an infant or a pregnant woman, but I’ve also noticed a positive change in my attitude ever since I started seeing a fertility specialist. He isnt the best but atleast I know I’m actively doing something about making my dream come true. It helps to ‘have a plan’, eg what to do next if this doesnt work. For me, unfortunately 6 cycles with Clomid and 2 IUIs have failed, we’re now thinking about IVF… something to give us hope. So, talk to your Dr about your options and make a plan. Best of luck and lots of :grouphug:

Look into IVF trials Experiencing difficulty conceiving? | New Hope Fertility Center, IVF Clinical Trial or Search of: IVF - List Results - ClinicalTrials.gov

Definately consider IVF. I know it’s difficult to accept that you may never get pregnant “naturally” but we are fortunate to have the science to help us along. Once you have that baby you won’t even care how you got it.

In my situation, IVF won’t even help to get us a biological child. I’d do it over a million times if it could.

Good luck to you!

abower8- I don’t know where you’re from but I’m a participant in a free clinical trial for ivf; the clinic is in Nwe York City. The only costs were for the meds and the anestesia for the egg retrieval. Without this trial we wouldn’t be able to afford it either. I attached the link below if you want to fill out the prescreening form to participate. Good luck!!!
