Endometriosis is a condition whereby cells very similar to the ones lining the uterine cavity, or endometrium, are found outside the uterine cavity. It is found in approximately 10-50% of reproductive-aged women and can be associated with infertility as well as pain during intercourse and/or menstrual periods. Endometriosis causes infertility by producing inflammation and scarring, which can result in not only pain but also potentially detrimental effects on egg, sperm or embryo. Endometriosis can only be confirmed by surgery, usually laparoscopy. If endometriosis is found, it can be surgically removed by various methods, and its removal may lead to a decrease in pain as well as improvement in the ability to conceive naturally. Your doctor will determine if you are at risk of having endometriosis based on a careful history, physical exam, and ultrasound. You can try some other forms of treatments if they will work for you. I went through surrogacy in Bio tex clinic for my PCOS. I am now a proud mother. Hoping that things will go for the best for you.

In good repro center they’ll want you to pass the following analyses and examinations to be accurate with the treatment plan offered. At bio tex com they wanted me to pass Rw, HBs, HCV, HIV, syphilis (made no more than 6 months before that). TORCH infections (rubella and toxoplasmosis). Vaginal discharge analysis. Karyotype analysis (termless). Blood group and Rhesus factor (termless). Complete Blood Count (CBC) made no more than 1 month before that. Biochemical blood count (bilirubin, AST, ALT, kreatinin, complete protein)
Koagulogram. LH (luteinizing hormone). FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone). Vaginal and cervical canal swab (no more than 6 months before). Microscopic examination of vaginal canal. Pelvic organs ultrasound. Breast ultrasound. Anti-muller hormone test. Of course this needs time and strength and patience. But we all know what for we’re doing this. Beisdes every clinic will want your dh to pass the required testings as well to exclude the possibility of the male factor. Hope this helps.

Hey there! I’m afraid going for surrogacy is not this easy… there are requirements for this very procedure a woman must meet. Some of them are numerous failed ivf attempts. Or continuous miscarriages (for some reasons a woman happen to loose her baby at some term) Or a woman had a hysterectomy which removed her uterus. Or when she has uterus which is incapable of carrying babies. Another factor is when intended mother has genetic disease or some other life threatening ones, like heart disease etc. Anyway she must have a doc’s certificate telling she cannot carry kids herself. Having pcos and endo at the same time is a huge obstacle to conceiving. But I do hope the former poster is still capable to carry the pregnancy herself. So she could try ivf with oe or de as the option. Surrogacy though is not the cheapest process. Depending on the country/clinic where it’s performed. One should be ready to look at $40-80K for the entire process. That’s why I truly believe it’s worth trying ivf first before going for this option.

IVF may be an option if you or your partner has:
Fallopian tube damage or blockage makes it difficult for an egg to be fertilized or for an embryo to travel to the uterus.
If ovulation is infrequent or absent, fewer eggs are available for fertilization.

Below-average sperm concentration, weak movement of sperm (poor mobility). Or abnormalities in sperm size and shape can make it difficult for sperm to fertilize an egg. If semen abnormalities are found, your partner might need to see a specialist to determine if there are correctable problems or underlying health concerns.
Unexplained infertility means no cause of infertility has been found despite evaluation for common causes.
If you or your partner is at risk of passing on a genetic disorder to your child, you may be candidates for preimplantation genetic diagnosis. After the eggs are harvested and fertilized, they’re screened for certain genetic problems, although not all genetic problems can be found. Embryos that don’t contain identified problems can be transferred to the uterus.
If you’re about to start cancer treatment (Such as radiation or chemotherapy) that could harm your fertility, IVF for fertility preservation may be an option. Women can have eggs harvested from their ovaries and frozen in an unfertilized state for later use. Or the eggs can be fertilized and frozen as embryos for future use.
Women who don’t have a functional uterus or for whom pregnancy poses a serious health risk might choose IVF using another person to carry the pregnancy.

Surrogacy usually goes like that (personally underent it in BioTexCom, Ukraine). So here we go. The initial consultation is to be scheduled at least 1 week ahead and contains the following activities: A set of tests depending on the program.
Consultation with a fertility specialist who will be in charge of your program. In case of stimulation your wife will need to have the transvaginal ultrasound check done.
Before any initial consultation you will receive the Guidelines for the Initial Consultation. failure to follow these recommendations may affect the initial consultation in a negative way.
After you sign contracts, the medical team starts the selection process that includes:
Initial pre-selection by the local coordinator.Consultation of the fertility specialist in the clinic. Consultation of a psychologist. Legal consultation and verification of documents. Screening for possible addictions (urine and blood tests).
This check-up process, including all necessary tests and exams, takes about 1 month.
The cycle of egg donor or the biological mother is synchronised with the cycle of a surrogate mother. According to your contract you have to follow all doctors instruction. In case of self-treatment or violation of the treatment protocol, the clinic may cancel the cycle and terminate the contract. What you can expect during pregnancy monitorying:
Monthly ultrasound checks from the 12th week of pregnancy. Reports along with video and/or pictures will be send the same or the next day. For trisomy screenings, results will be send within 5 working days. Trisomy 13, 18, 21 – on the 12th week of pregnanc Trisomy 18, 21 – on the 16th week of pregnancy. When your surrogate mother is going for planned hospitalisation your program coordinator will let you know. As a rule if the delivery is in a natural way the baby will be discharged in 3-4 days from the maternity house. In case of twins or c-section it might take up to 7 days for the babies to stay in the maternity house. In case of premature birth or any complications, the baby(s) obviously stay in the hospital for a longer period.

Infertility treatment depends on the following factors:
What’s causing the infertility;
How long you’ve been infertile;
Your age and your partner’s age;
Personal preferences.
Some causes of infertility can’t be corrected though. In cases where spontaneous pregnancy doesn’t happen, couples can often still achieve a pregnancy through use of ART. Infertility treatment may involve significant financial, physical, psychological and time commitments. So you should be ready emotionally first. Although a woman may need just one or two therapies to restore fertility, it’s possible that several different types of treatment may be needed before she’s able to conceive.
Stimulating ovulation with fertility drugs. Fertility drugs are the main treatment for women who are infertile due to ovulation disorders. These medications regulate or induce ovulation. Talk with your doctor about fertility drug options - including the benefits and risks of each type.
Intrauterine insemination (IUI). During IUI, healthy sperm are placed directly in the uterus around the time the woman’s ovary releases one or more eggs to be fertilized. Depending on the reasons for infertility, the timing of IUI can be coordinated with your normal cycle or with fertility medications.
Surgery to restore fertility. Uterine problems such as endometrial polyps, a uterine septum or intrauterine scar tissue can be treated with hysteroscopic surgery.

As for ART, it is any fertility treatment in which the egg and sperm are handled. An ART health team includes physicians, psychologists, embryologists, lab technicians, nurses and allied health professionals who work together to help infertile couples achieve pregnancy. In vitro fertilization (IVF) is the most common ART technique. IVF involves stimulating and retrieving multiple mature eggs from a woman, fertilizing them with a man’s sperm in a dish in a lab, and implanting the embryos in the uterus three to five days after fertilization.
Other techniques are sometimes used in an IVF cycle, such as:
Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). A single healthy sperm is injected directly into a mature egg. ICSI is often used when there is poor semen quality or quantity, or if fertilization attempts during prior IVF cycles failed.

Our doctor at Bio texcom explained us the following, I definitely can add to the discussion. Several surgical procedures can correct problems or otherwise improve female fertility. However, surgical treatments for fertility are rare these days due to the success of other treatments. They include:
Laparoscopic or hysteroscopic surgery. - These surgeries can remove or correct abnormalities to help improve your chances of getting pregnant. Surgery might involve correcting an abnormal uterine shape, removing endometrial polyps and some types of fibroids that misshape the uterine cavity, or removing pelvic or uterine adhesions.
Tubal surgeries - If your fallopian tubes are blocked or filled with fluid (hydrosalpinx), your doctor may recommend laparoscopic surgery to remove adhesions, dilate a tube or create a new tubal opening. This surgery is rare, as pregnancy rates are usually better with IVF. For hydrosalpinx, removal of your tubes (salpingectomy) or blocking the tubes close to the uterus can improve your chances of pregnancy with IVF.

I’m here to answer some of your your questions/concerns. Why shouldn’t I if it can sedate you somehow. So, let me start with that we failed to find a surrogate from our surrounding. We had to choose the clinic first, only then were able to choose a surrogate. That was the most attractive surrogate for our profile requirements. We were sure that she had absolute understanding of the process because she was an intelligent person judging from her education and profession. She was there exclusively with the desire to help people become happy having their small sense of life. She was a noble woman of 32. She had already had 2 children and carried our child in the exact manner that we would like her to. First we met our surrogate on the 12th week of her pregnancy. This term is believed to be the safest one. So, the staff had all the preconditions to testify the success. That was the first time we could breathe again. Before it we were exhausted. You know, when people are overly optimistic, it’s much easier to be let down by circumstances. We didn’t think the world was going to end the next day, but also didn’t like to hang our hopes on things working out on their own. Simply by the power of positive thinking.

I understand your fears. But look, we went to Ukraine for treatments. Earlier we found out that Ukraine is one of the very few surrogacy friendly countries in Europe. I’ll tell you about the pros of it. Unlike other nations that limit or even ban surrogacy, in Ukraine the intended parents of child are considered to be biological parents from the moment of conception. And ultimately reminded myself that giving myself my best and healthiest shot at this does not involve negative self-talk or torturing myself emotionally - finding key statements to repeat helped. Things like “I am doing the best I can and giving myself my very best shot.” “I will get through this and be kind to myself in the process.” “I believe in my body and even if it takes time, I know I will become a mother!!!’’ In addition to the spermogram doctors at BioTexconduct sperm analysis for apoptosis. Hi, here’s some of my background.
Me - 40 yo when started ttc since 2014. Dh - 42 yo. dx: PCOS, blocked fallopian tubes. amh <3,2. Dr suggested PGD as I had a miscarriage the previous years before going ivf route. Plus dr suspected me to be a carrier of Wilson disease - a very rare treatable disorder. I had already been through 2 failed ivf cycles with oe when dr told us to move on plan B - egg donation. Though we got prego with the 2nd round only. We’re happy to have our ivf kid now & are planning to pass another cycle for a sibling with the same biotex clinic. To be fair, there are other clinics in Ukraine that are great as well. Moreover you will find similar plans there. The reason they chose biotex is because they independently read a lot of great reviews online. There isn’t as much info in the US forums as there are in European forums. Evidently because Ukraine is only a two or three hour flight for most of them.

Hi, lovely. We passed de ivf overseas which was absolutely new exciting journey for us both.
During my cycle I joined ‘cycle buddies’ forum and it was a great source of support. There’s loads of other forums too, and the women that I’ve ‘chatted’ with on the site were extremely kind and helpful.
The other thing that really helped me was humour. I kept the radio in my car set to the 24 hour comedy station.My husband and I watched funny movies.
I was more antsy during the second week. And my husband was very good at reasoning with me not to test early. We waited until the day the clinic told us. I was really glad we did.
Anyway, thoughout the two weeks, I made sure I kept busy. I did yoga more often.
I know this phase is tough to go through. Sometimes it feels like in dog’s time - years than weeks. But you will know the answer soon enough. Have my fingers crossed for you xx
